For nearly six decades, Shoreline Cooperative Preschool has been a foundational community space where toddlers and young children learn through play, curiosity, and connection. This November, we invite our families, alumni, neighbors, and local champions to come together for our 39th Annual Auction Fundraiser.
Whether you place a bid on an incredible item from our catalog or make a direct tax-deductible gift, your participation directly protects the heart of our cooperative classroom.
Why This Year Matters More Than Ever
Our cooperative preschool is facing an unprecedented turning point. With recent statewide budget cuts ending critical college funding partnerships after the 2026–2027 school year, we are losing dedicated support that our program has relied on.
Without this vital funding, the burden shifts directly to our small parent-powered cooperative. We are stepping up to bridge this gap so our doors remain open, tuition remains accessible, and our teachers receive the compensation they deserve. This year’s auction is not just another annual event, it is an essential campaign to secure our preschool’s independent future.
Where Your Support Goes
Every single dollar raised during the auction directly funds:
- Tuition Assistance & Equity Scholarships: Ensuring that cooperative, play-based early education remains accessible to all families in our community, regardless of financial circumstances.
- Fair Teacher Compensation: Retaining and honoring our exceptional, dedicated educators who nurture our children each day.
- Classroom & Play Materials: Replacing worn equipment, refreshing sensory and art supplies, and maintaining safe outdoor and indoor learning environments.
- Operating Sustainability: Helping us transition and absorb the abrupt loss of state institutional support without compromising program quality.

- Local Artisan Goods & Specialty Baskets: Handcrafted treasures, wellness services, and locally made goods from our communities favorite neighborhood shops.

- Catalog preview opens early; bidding runs from Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 9:00 AM through Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at 9:00 PM PST.
- Click below to create your bidding profile, preview catalog items, and set up your watch list so you never miss a bid.
2. Can’t Bid? Make a Direct Impact
If you prefer not to participate in the auction or simply want to multiply your support, you can contribute directly to our school. Direct contributions are 100% tax-deductible and go directly toward keeping our program accessible.
Now Accepting Auction Donations
Whether you are a neighbor, alumni family, or local business owner, there are several meaningful ways to champion our preschool this season:
- Make a Direct Cash Donation: Every dollar directly funds tuition assistance and helps us retain our dedicated teaching staff during this critical funding transition.
- Donate an Item or Experience: We welcome gift certificates, tickets, professional services, family outings, and curated merchandise. In-kind donations are featured directly in our online auction catalog to hundreds of local bidders.
- Become an Event Sponsor: Gain high-visibility recognition among local families. We are actively seeking business sponsors to feature across our community Carnival and online auction platforms.
